How To Make Air-Fryer Tempura Veggies

Ingredients

  • 1 large carrot, cut into strips
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small zucchini, cut into rounds
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Vegetable oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Gradually add the cold water to the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth.

  4. Dip the vegetables into the batter, shaking off any excess, and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  5. Lightly spray the vegetables with vegetable oil.

  6. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the veggies are golden and crispy.

  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
