Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) of refried beans
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of salsa
  • 1/4 cup of diced green chilies
  • 1/4 cup of diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the refried beans, cheddar cheese, salsa, green chilies, red onion, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  3. Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.

  5. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  6. Serve the warm Mexican bean dip with tortilla chips.
