Ingredients
- 1 pound of carrots, peeled and sliced into coins
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the carrots, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to coat the carrots evenly with the butter and sugar mixture.

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer and cover the skillet. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the carrots are tender.

Remove the lid and stir in the frozen peas. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the peas are heated through.

If desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
