Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle.

  2. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.

  5. Add cauliflower florets and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Add a cup of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until cauliflower is cooked.

  7. Sprinkle garam masala and mix gently. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

  9. Serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
