How To Make Ruby Tuesday Chocolate Tall Cake Recipe
A rich, decadent chocolate cake with layers of creamy frosting.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in vanilla extract.

Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Divide batter evenly among prepared pans.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes.

Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.

To make frosting, heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer.

Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

Let frosting cool to room temperature, then beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread with about 1/3 of the frosting.

Repeat with remaining cake layers and frosting.
