  • 2 egg whites

  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and stir well.

  3. Add the applesauce, egg whites, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, and stir until smooth.

  4. Fold in chopped strawberries.

  5. Pour the batter into a greased, 8-inch cake pan and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
