  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin, applesauce, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Let cool before slicing and enjoying.
