How To Make Low Calorie Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Recipe
A guilt-free indulgence with juicy pineapples and a fluffy cake base.

Ingredients
- 1 can of sliced pineapple (in natural juice)
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup of cake flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- Cooking spray
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Drain the pineapple slices and reserve the juice.

Combine brown sugar and 2 tbsp of pineapple juice in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir until sugar dissolves.

Spray a cake pan with cooking spray and pour the brown sugar mixture on the bottom. Arrange the pineapple slices on top.

In a mixing bowl, whisk applesauce, Greek yogurt, almond milk, and 3 tbsp of pineapple juice. Sift in cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth.

Pour the batter on top of the pineapples and spread evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the cake.

Let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
