How To Make Dr Pepper Cherry Dump Cake Recipe

A super easy and delicious cherry dump cake with the uniquely rich flavor of Dr Pepper.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 45-50 minutes
Total: 55-60 minutes



  • 1 can (21 oz) of cherry pie filling
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (12 oz) of Dr Pepper Cherry
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • Whipped cream (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Pour the cherry pie filling on the bottom of a greased 8×8 baking dish.

  3. Spread the yellow cake mix on top of the pie filling.

  4. Pour the Dr Pepper Cherry on top of the cake mix, making sure it covers all the dry mix.

  5. Pour the melted butter evenly on top of the soda.

  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.

  7. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes then add a dollop of whipped cream on top if desired.

  8. Enjoy!
