  • 4 6-ounce swordfish steaks
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a cast-iron skillet on high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together all the spices and salt.

  3. Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of each swordfish steak.

  4. Add olive oil to the hot skillet, then add the swordfish.

  5. Cook 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish is blackened.

  6. Serve hot with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
