  • 4 swordfish fillets
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to make the blackening spice.

  2. Rub both sides of each swordfish fillet with the blackening spice mixture.

  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Carefully place the seasoned swordfish fillets in the hot skillet.

  5. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and nicely blackened.

  6. Remove from heat and let the swordfish rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
