How To Make Air Fryer Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

A delicious twist on the classic dessert, made with fresh strawberries and made in an air fryer.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp of baking powder
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • 3 tbsp of unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup of whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup of strawberry jam
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the chilled butter and mix with your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract.

  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  6. Grease a 6-inch cake pan with non-stick spray and pour in the batter.

  7. Drop spoonfuls of the strawberry jam onto the batter and swirl with a knife.

  8. Place the sliced strawberries on top of the batter.

  9. Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  10. Remove the cake pan from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes.

  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
