  • 4 medium-sized apples, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, melted butter, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly.

  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

  4. Spread the cubed apples evenly over the crust.

  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples, pressing it down lightly.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares.

  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
