  • 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
  • 8 fresh figs, halved
  • 1/2 cup of toffee sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4 equal squares.

  3. Place 2 fig halves on each square of pastry, leaving a border around the edges.

  4. Drizzle the toffee sauce over the figs.

  5. Fold the edges of the pastry up and over the figs, creating a rustic pie shape.

  6. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  7. Transfer the pies to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
