How To Make Mixed Berry Jam
Enjoy the different levels of tart flavors in this mixed berry jam. It combines strawberries and other berries for a sweet-tart medley for your toasts!

Ingredients
- 1lbstrawberries
- 1½cupssugar
- ½lemon
- 1lbmixed berries,such as blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries
Instructions

In a large, nonreactive saucepan, toss the strawberries with the sugar and let stand for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is mostly dissolved.

Squeeze the lemon over the strawberries, add it to the saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Cook for 5 minutes over moderately high heat, stirring until the strawberries are just softened.

Add the mixed berries and cook over moderate heat for 20 to 25 minutes until the liquid runs off the side of a spoon in thick, heavy drops. Skim off any scum that rises to the surface of the jam.

Discard the lemon and spoon the mixed-berry jam into 3 1 cup jars, leaving about ¼-inch of space at the top.

Close the jars and let the jam cool to room temperature.

Serve on toasts or scones, and enjoy!
