This compote recipe is made from strawberries rhubarb cooked in sugar and spices — even more delicious with ice cream, yogurt, or toast on top!

  • 1lbstrawberries,washed and dried
  • 1lbrhubarb,leaves removed and stalks washed
  • 2tbsphoney
  • 1tbspwater


  1. Hull strawberries and cut into quarters.

  2. Cut rhubarb in 2 inch slices.

  3. Combine compote ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and gently simmer over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, until reduced and thickened and the fruit has softened.

  4. Remove from heat.
