
How To Make Caramel Button Cupcakes

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- For the frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.

Stir in the caramel sauce until well combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling about 2/3 full.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

For the frosting:

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, caramel sauce, and milk, and continue beating until smooth and fluffy.

Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost them with the caramel frosting.

Optional: drizzle some extra caramel sauce on top for added sweetness.
