How To Make Oatmeal Crispies

Ingredients
- ⅔cupshortening
- ⅓cupbutter,softened
- 1cupbrown sugar,packed
- 1cupwhite sugar
- 2eggs
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 1½cupsall purpose flour
- 1tspsalt
- 1tspbaking soda
- 3cupsquick cooking oats
- 1cupwalnuts,chopped
Instructions

Cream together the shortening, margarine, and sugars. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Mix in flour, salt, and baking soda. Add the oats and walnuts, then mix well.

Shape into long rolls and roll in wax paper. Chill until firm.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Slice the dough into ¼-inch slices and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press with fork dipped in milk.
