How To Make Chocolate Rocky Road Cookies

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in vanilla extract and egg until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in chocolate chunks, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts, if desired.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
