Grandma used to make these for my brothers and sister and I when we were younger. Very good recipe.

Cook: 30 mins
Total: 45 mins

  • ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
  • cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

For Frosting:

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup milk
  • cups confectioners' sugar

To serve:

  • ice cream, of your choice, or your favorite hot drink

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 13-inch baking tin or casserole.

  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt then set it aside.

  3. In a large bowl, mix together sugar and butter.

  4. Add in eggs, crunchy peanut butter, and vanilla. Continue creaming.

  5. Fold in the sifted flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture until evenly incorporated.

  6. Transfer the mixture into your greased baking tin or casserole.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean. Set aside onto a cooling rack and allow to cool down completely.
