Ingredients

  • 2 pears, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut chocolate spread
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.

  5. Gently fold in the diced pears.

  6. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased and lined 8-inch round cake pan.

  7. Spoon hazelnut chocolate spread evenly over the batter.

  8. Pour the remaining cake batter on top of the chocolate spread.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  10. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
