Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 head of lettuce, washed and torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, add the olive oil and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Add the torn lettuce and frozen peas to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the lettuce is slightly wilted and the peas are heated through.

  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the broth has reduced slightly.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the braised lettuce, peas, and bacon in bowls, garnished with the crispy bacon.
