  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.

  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, chopped hazelnuts, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with the melted butter and milk. Mix until just combined.

  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Serve the cinnamon chocolate hazelnut cake as is or dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness.
