How To Make Five-Spice Beef with Black Bean Sauce & Bok Choi

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp five-spice powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp black bean sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 heads bok choi, trimmed and halved
- Steamed rice, for serving
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the beef slices, five-spice powder, and salt. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.

Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until browned and cooked through.

In a small bowl, whisk together the black bean sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.

Add the bok choi to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted but still crisp.
