How To Make Chocolate Cake with Liqueur
Your favorite cake just got a kick with this decadent chocolate cake! It’s packed with coffee, hazelnut, and Irish cream liqueur, for a boozy slice.

For Chocolate Cake:
- 18.25ozdevil’s food cake mix,(1 package)
- 4eggs
- 1cupsour cream
- ½cupcoffee flavored liqueur
- ½cuphazelnut liqueur
- ¾cupvegetable oil
- 1½cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
For Frosting:
- ½cupbutter
- 4cupsconfectioners’ sugar
- ¾cupunsweetened cocoa powder
- 1½tspvanilla extract
- 1cupIrish cream liqueur
Instructions
Chocolate Cake:

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, coffee liqueur, hazelnut liqueur and oil. Beat until very smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.

Pour batter into desired greased and floured pans, and bake as directed on the cake box or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Wait until it’s completely cool to frost.
Frosting:

Cream the butter. Add ½ of the powdered sugar, then blend well.

Add the cocoa and vanilla, and start pouring the Irish cream liqueur over the icing while beating in the rest of the sugar. Keep adding Irish cream liqueur until the icing turns creamy.

Frost the cake, then slice, serve, and enjoy!
