Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 slices fresh pineapple, cored and peeled
- 4 maraschino cherries
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round 9-inch cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Arrange the pineapple slices on the bottom of the cake pan. Place a cherry in the center of each pineapple slice.

Pour the batter evenly over the pineapple slices and cherries.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
