Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.

Fold in the raisins.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
