  • 1 cup (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the pound cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
