Ingredients

  • cups granulated sugar
  • cups flour, sifted
  • 1 stick butter, or margarine
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Coca-Cola

For Brownie Frosting:

  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, or margarine
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • cup Coca-Cola
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Add the sugar, flour, butter, vegetable oil, baking soda, cocoa powder, eggs, and buttermilk in a bowl. Whisk to combine.
  3. Pour the vanilla extract and Coca-Cola. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer into the greased baking pan.
  5. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes.

Brownie Frosting:

  1. In a bowl, add the confectioners’ sugar, butter, cocoa powder, Coca-Cola, and vanilla extract.
  2. Beat until smooth, then mix in the chopped pecans.
  3. Once the cake is baked, spread the frosting on top of the cake and serve. Enjoy!
