Mug cakes take easy desserts to a whole new level! This mug cake recipe is layered to perfection with cherries, vanilla cake, and chocolate cake. The best part of this recipe is that it’s ready in less than 5 minutes!

How To Make Chocolate And Vanilla Layered Mug Cakes

  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 1 vanilla cake mix
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 can cherry filling
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  1. Spray coffee mugs with cooking spray.

  2. In 2 separate bowls, combine each cake mix with egg white, 1 tbsp oil, and 1 tbsp water.

  3. Once combined, pour a layer of chocolate batter into each mug.
  4. Then spoon 1-2 tbsp. cherry filling on top of the chocolate, and layer with vanilla batter.
  5. Repeat the layering process until each mug is 80% full.
  6. Place each mug in the microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes.
  7. Dust each mug cake with powdered sugar and serve!
