  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.

  5. In a small bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, oats, and cold butter. Mix with a fork or your fingers until crumbly.

  6. Sprinkle the pecan crumble mixture evenly over the banana cake batter.

  7. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before serving.
