Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, spices, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Mix well by using your hands until the spices are evenly dispersed throughout the meat.

  3. Shape the meat into small, oval meatballs.

  4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the meatballs in batches for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.

  5. Remove the meatballs from the pan and let them rest on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

  6. Garnish with chopped parsley.

  7. Serve hot with pita bread, hummus, and harissa.
