How To Make Buttermilk Panna Cotta
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
Sprinkle the gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
Once bloomed, microwave the gelatin for 15 seconds or until melted.
In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted gelatin, and vanilla extract.
Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the buttermilk mixture, whisking constantly.
Divide the mixture evenly among 4 serving glasses or ramekins.
Place the glasses in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
Before serving, garnish with fresh berries if desired.
