How To Make Indian Tofu Vindaloo Recipe
A spicy and tangy curry made with marinated tofu and a blend of Indian spices.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 block of tofu, cubed
- 2 tbsp vindaloo paste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions

In a bowl, mix the cubed tofu and vindaloo paste and set aside for 30 minutes.

In a pan, heat the vegetable oil and add the onion and garlic. Cook until soft.

Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and mustard seeds and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the marinated tofu to the pan and cook for 5 minutes until browned.

Stir in the sugar and red wine vinegar, followed by the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 20-30 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with cilantro before serving.
