How To Make Indian Tofu Palak Recipe

A vegetarian dish made with tofu and spinach in a flavorful Indian spiced tomato gravy.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 1 bunch of spinach, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 inch of ginger, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.

  2. Add onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Saute until onions are translucent.

  3. Add tomatoes and cook until they are soft.

  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well.

  5. Add chopped spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add tofu cubes and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

  7. Garnish with fresh coriander.

  8. Serve hot with rice or roti.
