How To Make White Castle Onion Rings
Delicious, crispy onion rings just like the ones from White Castle!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet onions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

Cut onions into 1/2 inch slices and separate into rings.

In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

In another bowl, pour buttermilk.

Dip onion rings into buttermilk and then coat with flour mixture.

Heat vegetable oil in a pot or deep fryer to 375°F.

Fry onion rings for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain excess oil.
