How To Make Red Hots Cinnamon Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Red Hots candies
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, Red Hots candies, and cinnamon.

  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the candies are completely melted and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl.

  5. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.

  6. Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  7. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
