How To Make Fleming’s Steakhouse’s Chocolate Lava Cake

Decadent chocolate cake with a gooey, melt-in-your-mouth center.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 12 minutes
Total: 27 minutes



  • 4 oz Dark Chocolate (chopped)
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 Large Egg Yolks
  • 6 tbsp Flour
  • Salt
  • Cooking Spray


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, eggs and egg yolks.

  4. Gradually add in the melted chocolate and butter.

  5. Fold in the flour and a pinch of salt.

  6. Grease 4 ramekins with cooking spray.

  7. Divide the batter into ramekins, fill them up to ¾ of the way.

  8. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.

  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes.

  10. Gently loosen the cakes from the ramekins and turn them over onto the plates.

  11. Serve hot, garnish with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
