Delicious shrimp dish coated in a crispy batter, served with a tangy dipping sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp horseradish
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions

In a shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. This will be your dry mixture.

In a separate bowl, pour buttermilk. This will be your wet mixture.

Dip each shrimp in the wet mixture, then coat in the dry mixture. Place the coated shrimp on a plate.

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F.

Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

For the dipping sauce, whisk together all the ingredients in a small bowl.

Serve the shrimp hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
