How To Make Alice Waters’ Summer Berry Crisp
A sweet and tangy fruit dessert with a crunchy oat topping.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp flour
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a medium bowl, mix together the berries, sugar, flour, and lemon zest. Spread evenly into a 9-inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt until crumbly.

Sprinkle the oat mixture over the berry mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
