How To Make Baked Caprese Chicken Breast Recipe

A delicious and healthy chicken breast recipe with the classic flavors of caprese.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Season chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Bake chicken in oven for 15 minutes.

  4. Remove chicken from oven and layer sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil on top of each breast.

  5. Return chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve.
