Sunshine Morning Granola Recipe

Dried fruit, oats, and honey make up the perfect homemade granola mix. You can add this to your yogurt or have it on its own.


How To Make Sunshine Morning Granola

With just a handful of available breakfast ingredients, you can have your own granola serving without having to buy at the nearest store. We used some good old Quaker oats, chopped pecans, orange peals and mixed fruits.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Quaker oats, quick or old fashioned, uncooked
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp orange peel, grated
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon, ground
  • tsp salt, optional
  • cup mixed fruit, optional,diced and dried

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Combine all ingredients except dried fruit in large bowl; mix well.
  3. Spread evenly in 15x10-inch jelly roll pan or 13x9-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring once after 10 minutes.
  5. Cool completely in pan.
  6. Stir in dried fruit.
  7. Store tightly covered up to 5 days.
