How To Make Delicata Squash Fries Recipe

This recipe makes crisp and savory fries out of delicata squash, making it an ideal and healthy appetizer.

  • 2 delicata squash
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Cut off the ends of the delicata squash. Slice the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds. Cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the squash slices with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  4. Spread the squash slices on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking time or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
