How To Make Apple Tomato Salsa
Juicy tomatoes, sweet apples, and crunchy jicama are skillet-cooked with vinegar, lime juice, and herbs for a flavorful apple tomato salsa.
Ingredients
- ½tspgarlic,minced
- 1cupfresh tomatoes,diced
- ½cupapples,such as Honeycrisp, thinly chopped
- 2tbspjicama,chopped
- 2tspcilantro,coarsely chopped
- 1tspfresh chives,chopped
- ½tspfresh basil,finely chopped
- ½tspsalt,or to taste
- 1tbsplime juice
- 1½tspwhite vinegar
Instructions

Cook and stir garlic in a skillet over medium-low heat for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir tomatoes, apples, and jicama into garlic; cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until tomatoes are hot.

Stir cilantro, chives, basil, and salt into tomato mixture; drizzle lime juice and vinegar over the top. Cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until apples are juicy but still crisp and tomatoes are warm but still firm.

Drain some of the accumulated juices and transfer salsa to a bowl; refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chilled.
