How To Make Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta Recipe
A light and flavorful pasta dish with succulent shrimp, zesty lemon, and savory garlic.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
-
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
-
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
-
Once the spaghetti is cooked, save 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest of the water.
-
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the shrimp and toss together with the garlic and oil.
-
Remove the skillet from the heat, add lemon juice and zest, and parsley. Toss again and season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
If the sauce is too thick, add the saved pasta water and toss again until the sauce coats the spaghetti evenly.
-
Serve the Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta hot and garnish with additional parsley and lemon zest.
