Cooking: 60 minutes
Total: 70 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. In the pressure cooker, combine BBQ sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Mix well.

  3. Add the seasoned pork shoulder to the pressure cooker and coat it with the BBQ sauce mixture.

  4. Close the pressure cooker and set it to high pressure for 60 minutes.

  5. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then manually release the remaining pressure.

  6. Remove the pork shoulder from the pressure cooker and shred it using two forks.

  7. Serve the pulled pork on buns or over rice, topped with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
