How To Make Turnip, Potato & Mustard Gratin

Ingredients
- 2 medium turnips, thinly sliced
- 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped fresh thyme.

Layer half of the sliced turnips and potatoes in the greased baking dish. Pour half of the mustard cream sauce over the vegetables and sprinkle with half of the grated Gruyere and Parmesan cheese.

Repeat the layering process with the remaining turnips, potatoes, mustard cream sauce, and grated cheese.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
