How To Make Turnip Gratin

Ingredients
- 4 large turnips, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Layer half of the turnip slices in the bottom of the dish.

Sprinkle half of the minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper on top.

Repeat the layers with the remaining turnip slices and seasonings.

Pour the heavy cream evenly over the turnips.

Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese on top.

Drizzle the melted butter over the cheese.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the turnips are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
