How To Make Brazilian Picadillo
Make a loaded dish with this picadillo recipe, made Brazilian-style, packed with beef and bell peppers, tossed in a mix of herbs and spices!

Ingredients
- 2tbspolive oil
- 7garlic cloves,chopped
- 1½cupsonion,chopped
- 1½cupsgreen bell pepper,chopped
- 3lbslean ground beef
- 5ozgreen olives,(1 jar), pitted, halved
- 5ozcapers,rinsed, drained
- ¼cupwhite vinegar
- 1tspsalt
- 1tspfreshly ground black pepper
- 1tspground cinnamon
- 1tspground cloves
- 2dried bay leaves
- ¼tsphot sauce
- 6cupstomatoes,canned, half drained
Instructions

In a large stockpot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

Sauté the garlic, onion, and green pepper until onions are transparent. Transfer the onion mixture to a bowl and set aside.

In the same pot, heat the remaining olive oil and brown the ground beef.

In a separate saucepan, combine the olives, capers, vinegar, salt, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, and hot sauce. Let simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Place the olive mixture and the onion mixture into the pot with the ground beef. Add the half drained tomatoes and cook for 1 hour over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
