How To Make Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars
Delight in the combo of textures in these chocolate marshmallow bars made with a cake base, studded with walnuts, then topped with peanut butter chocolate.

Ingredients
- ¾cupbutter
- 1½cupswhite sugar
- 3eggs
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 1⅓cupsall purpose flour
- ½tspbaking powder
- ½tspsalt
- 3tbspcocoa powder
- ½cupwalnuts,chopped
- 4cupsminiature marshmallows
- 1⅓cupssemi sweet chocolate chips
- 3tbspbutter
- 1cuppeanut butter
- 2cupscrisp rice cereal
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl, cream ¾ cup of butter or margarine and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, then beat until fluffy.

Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan.

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over the cake. Return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes.

Using a knife dipped in water, spread the melted marshmallows evenly over the cake. Cool.

For the topping, combine the chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, and peanut butter in a small saucepan.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and well blended. Remove from heat, then stir in the cereal.

Spread over bars, then chill. Serve and enjoy!
